Unboxing and Getting to Know the Simulator

  • As soon as you receive your iFace Lips, open the box, take the simulator out and keep it there for 6 hours. We recommend a room temperature between 64.4 °F to 75.2 °F (18 °C to 24 °C).
  • Handle the product carefully and always wear gloves to avoid contamination or damage.
  • Place the Lips on a solid, stable surface before use.
  • Do not expose the product to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid using sharp objects or tools that could damage the simulator’s surface.

Visual Inspection and Cleaning

  • Inspect the Simulator: Before each use, perform a visual inspection to ensure the iFace Lips is in good condition and free of any visible damage or defects.
  • Marking: If marking the simulator, use highly-washable markers that won’t cause permanent stains.
  • Cleaning the Marks: Gently remove the marks with cotton and water, or with cotton and make-up remover. Be careful not to apply excessive pressure to avoid damaging the surface.
  • General Cleaning: Always clean the surface of the iFace Lips after use with a soft cloth or cotton pad. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning tools.
  • Do Not Use Sharp Objects: Refrain from using sharp objects such as scalpels, as they may cause irreversible damage to the simulator.

How to Inject, What to Inject, and Alternatives to HA (Hyaluronic Acid)

  • Before starting injections, ensure you have completed the proper training and understand the simulator’s anatomy.
  • Use needles of 21-gauge or thinner for injections; these allow for smooth penetration without excessive damage.
  • To perform injections, make sure the simulator is securely placed on a stable surface to prevent movement.
  • Inject into the two main layers: superficial fat and skin, as deeper layers cannot be accessed or manipulated.
  • For liquid hyaluronic acid solutions, absorb the product with a syringe or apply pressure to remove excess.
  • For gel-like solutions, create a small opening using a 30-g needle, then massage the area gently to ensure the simulator returns to its original shape.
  • When using cannulas, use 25-gauge or thinner and create an opening with a higher-gauge needle first.
  • Practice proper injection techniques to simulate real patient interactions effectively.
  • Consider using alternatives to HA, such as collagen-based fillers or other dermal fillers, depending on the training guidelines.
  • Always monitor the simulator’s condition after multiple uses; ensure that it remains functional and undamaged for ongoing training.

Storage

  • Always store the iFace Lips in its original packaging to protect it from dust and damage.
  • Keep the simulator in a horizontal position on a stable surface like a shelf, table, or desk.
  • Ensure the storage environment maintains a temperature between 64.4 °F and 75.2 °F (18 °C to 24 °C).
  • Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or humidity, which can affect the simulator’s materials.
  • If the simulator has been exposed to improper temperatures during shipping, let it rest at room temperature for 6 hours before using it.
  • Periodically check the simulator for signs of wear or damage to ensure it remains in optimal condition for training.
  • Do not store heavy objects on top of the simulator or its packaging to avoid any potential crushing or deformation.
  • Maintain a clean storage area to prevent contamination or exposure to harmful substances.
